Heritage and Progression, King Keyser, since 1952

Tradition in Wintersport --
King Keyser was founded in 1952. We started in a little storefront in Hinsdale, Illinois. Back in the day, we carried everything from guns to hockey equipment. But, we were avid skiers from the beginning. Soon, skiing became our primary focus and our passion. Our founders, Mr. and Mrs. Keyser were among the founders of Vail Ski Area. For decades, customers from all over the Midwest have counted on King Keyser to provide them with the best products, the latest in technology, solid, expert advice and service to match. Wintersport enthusiasts continue to trust us today, as we carry on the Keyser’s traditions.

Snowboarding --
We have a tradition in snowboarding, too. We were one of the first snowboard dealers anywhere when we started carrying boards in 1982. Riding is a passion shared by the owners and employees at King Keyser. We’ve been riding since 1980. Whether you’re an old school relic, a newbie or somewhere in between, you can count on us to see through the hype and point you in the right direction.

Skiing –-
New schoolers, powder hounds, gate bashers, or corduroy cruisers; you’re among friends at King Keyser. We know it, we love it, we do it -- just like you. Boots hurtin’ your feet? We’ve got a solution. Finally upgrading from those old favorites? We’ll show you why the new stuff will change your life! Prowling the park? We’ll help you get your jib on. Outstanding product knowledge, a huge selection and innovative solutions are the tools we use to make you happy on the hill.

Outerwear –
Clothing for active people is as much about function as it is about fashion. Regardless of the season, your apparel has to work with you in whatever you choose to do. Like you, we’re participants, not spectators – we know what you need, and we’ve got what you like.

The Future --
Over the decades, we’ve seen innovations first revolutionize, then re-invent winter-sport. We’ve seen more than a few hokey trends come and go, too. You can count on us to know the difference. Today, we look eagerly toward the decades yet to come in wintersport. We look forward to the new products and technologies that will make your (and our) on-hill experiences even better.
